NLSA Entry Level Refereeing Course – May 12 and 13

The NLSA will be offering an Entry Level Refereeing course May 12th and 13th in Corner Brook at the Corner Brook Regional High School starting at 8:45 am on Saturday morning.  Minimum age is 14 years old at the time of the clinic (no exceptions), and participants must be available for the entire course.  For students that have applied for summer coaching positions with CBMSA having this course completed will enhanced your chances of getting hired.

This is the entry point into the Provincial Referee Program and the basic requirement to referee 11/side soccer. It is a 12 to 16 hour CSA-certified course designed to teach the Laws of the Game. The course is practically oriented and there is an examination. Upon successful completion of the Entry Level course, an official may register as a District Level official, provided they have reached the age of 16 years. Referees between 14 and 16 years of age are registered as Youth Referees.  Note:  The maximum number of participants is 12 and the number of seats usually goes very quickly – so register early.

The participants need law books and will need to complete a pre-course workbook. Registration is by this email and cost is $30/ participant (including law book, referee badge).
