Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association Says Farewell To Their Technical Director

Robert Mitrovic or Rocky, as he is affectionately known in Corner Brook soccer circles, after nine years with the Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association (CBMSA), has opted to move on to new challenges.

Rocky came to Corner Brook from Negotin, Serbia in 2010 to work with CBMSA, first as one of two coaches and later, as Technical Director. In 2014, Rocky along with his wife Nada and two daughters, Jovana and Ivana officially immigrated to Canada. Nada began working at the Greenwood Inn very shortly after they settled in Corner Brook. Jovana graduated high school in 2016 and went on to study at Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook. Ivana is currently completing her grade 12 at Corner Brook Regional High.

Rocky has indicated that he is seeking a new challenge in life, “I think that I have exhausted my work in Corner Brook and I am looking at other Clubs to expand my coaching. In Corner Brook, I have coached players from all age groups from 3 to 18. Each age group is different. I have worked with most of our younger coaches and attempted to mentor them through the spring and summer programs. Corner Brook has been very good to my family and me”.

The Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association greatly appreciates the passion and dedication that Rocky has shown to the development of the game and training of our youth. We know that he will be greatly missed and we wish Rocky and his family all the best in their future endeavours.

The Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association is working diligently towards identifying a replacement Technical Director.
