U11 girls invited to join CBMSA travel team

First practice set for Sunday

Under SportNL guidelines, Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association (CBMSA) can play games this summer against the following communities within our health region:  Stephenville, Deer Lake, and Pasadena.  We have also recently received approval to play games against Grand Falls-Windsor and Springdale in the Central Health Region.

Rebecca Sherstobetoff and Julianne King will be holding some extra training sessions for U11 girls who would like to be a part of the 2021 U11 girls’ CBMSA travel team.

This opportunity is open to any U11 girl who is registered with CBMSA for the summer.  There will be no cuts to this team; every girl who wishes to play, will be able to play.  There is no extra registration cost to be a member of the team

The first practice for the U11 girls’ travel team is this Sunday, July 4 from 2:15-3:45 p.m. at Doug Sweetapple Soccer Field on Wellington St.

This will be the team’s regular practice time and additional practices may be scheduled during the summer.

Rebecca and Julianne are excited to get started and will work to set up games with other clubs and this will be shared as soon as possible.

There will also be a parent meeting sometime between July 5 and 11. This will be held during the girls’ house league time on Tuesday or Thursday, or right after the Sunday practice on July 11.  More information on this meeting will be sent out early next week.

Parents are asked to notify Rebecca via email, rebeccasherstobetoff@gmail.com, if their daughter is interested in being a member of the travel team.
